Supported Measurements and Devices

Bellow is a non-exhaustive list of many of the meters, sensors and types of measurements supported by ThingsLog IIoT platform and solutions

Industrial Measurement and Control

ThingsLog IIoT platform supports vast amount of devices, sensors and meters.

Through them we can claim that we can do almost any kind of a measurement or perform automation control required for almost any kind of project.

Our bread and butter is utility smart metering – AMR/AMI projects, precise low-power analog sensor measurements, environmental projects and SCADA systems where intelligent control decisions has to be performed based on sensor and market data.

Based on those we have gained a vast amount of experience in water and energy metering and monitoring, sensor data acquisition and industrial control and automation.

We would love to share our knowledge and help our customers to achieve any of the measurements and control listed bellow.

Supported Water Meters

Smart water meters are key part of our IIoT platform and  ThingsLog remote smart water metering solution. Some of the meters are supported through a direct LoRa/LoRaWAN integrations and some through interconnect with our own Low Power data loggers with 2/4G, NB-IoT, Cat-M1 or LoRa/LoRaWAN telemetry.

 Supported Energy Meters

Supported energy meters are the foundation on which ThingsLog energy consumption monitoring solution is built. Most of the meters are supported either through modbus or by pulse counting.
  • Any energy meter with modbus (ABB, Schneider, Noark, Orno, Fineco and many others).
  • Any energy meter with pulse output
  • Any gas flow meter with pulse output
  • Axioma heating meters with LoRa/LoRaWAN connectivity

ON/OFF Alarm Sensors

On/Off sensors are used across the solutions and in many industry specific use cases.
  • Normally open door sensor
  • Water leak sensors with on/off outputs
  • Sensors for
  • Various buttons (we have counted weird use cases –  from openings of dispensers for toilet paper to toilet flushes)

Smart Devices with Tasmota Open Firmware

Tasmota and the richness of so many ESP based devices came recently with ThingsLog 12/24 “Christmas” release. The release allowed any of those ubiquitous amount of smart devices to be simply “pluged in” any of the existing solution we have.

Supported Sensor Measurements

ThingsLog IIoT platform and data loggers support many kind of analog and has built in drivers i2c sensors. Our data loggers has built in either 4 channels 16 bit ADC or 2 channel 24 bit sigma delta ADC for precise analog measurements. For most of the measurements bellow we can offer precise sensors, perform calibrations and ship together with our data loggers as a complete product delivery.

For example pressure monitoring is based on the pressure sensors, tanks and dam motioning on the level, air quality on the various gas sensors and agriculture on the sensors for meteo, leaf and soil measurements.

  • Temperature  measurements for air or soil temperature monitoring -70 C /+ 155 C
  • Temperature platinum PT100/PT1000 sensors with 4-20mA convertors suitable for underwater temperature measurements
  • Various thermocouple sensors
  • Peltier elements
  • Pressure – low-power current (4-20mA) or voltage (0-3V) differential pressure sensors suitable for smart water applications
  • Level – low-power current (4-20mA) hydro-static level sensors suitable for tank or dam level monitoring
  • Ultrasonic level sensors with modbus or 4-20mA output (non low power)
  • Soil moisture sensors with voltage output 0-3V
  • Load Cell, Inclinometer, accelerometer, vibration wire  – through the (precise 24bit sigma-delta ADC) or modbus suitable for infrastructure monitoring of bridges, dams, lifts, critical infrastructure
  • Gas sensor measurements – SO2, CO, CO2, NO, NO2, H2, H2S, HCHO, ETOH, O3
  • Air quality sensors – particles matter PM1, PM2.5, PM4, PM10, IAQ, RESP
  • Radiation – standard geiger muller counter
  • Relative Humidity (RH%) – air humidity sensors ( 0.5)
  • Leaf moisture
  • Soil potential
  • Water leak sensors
  • Atmospheric pressure
  • Force and/or weight measurements through 24 ADC
  • Any other analog sensor suitable for 16 ADC measurements
  • Wind speed & direction
  • Rain gauges – both volume and intensity
  • Various water quality measurements – PH, Salinity, Dissolved oxygen, turbidity, OPR, Conductivity

Relay Boards

On the relay boars are based ThingsLog solutions where direct control over electrical circuits is required for example street light controlVPP, pumping station automation.

  • Any modbus relay board (there are 2,4, 6, 8 up to 16 port 16A relay boards)
  • Soft starters (for example Siemens Sirius series) – controllable through modbus or relay circuits
